NEET (UG)-2023 exam postponed for candidates who were allotted examination Centres in Manipur
Manipur is witnessing violent clashes over a move to grant scheduled tribe status to the majority Metei community in the state. Naga and Kuki tribals who are opposing this plan organised a 'Tribal Solidarity March' on Wednesday after which the clashes broke
The National Testing Agency(NTA) on Saturday announced that NEET-UG examination which was scheduled for Saunday has been postponed in Manipur in view of law-and-order situation.The candidates who were allotted examination Centres in Manipur and their exam will be held at a later date.
MoS Education & BJP MP from Manipur, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh says, "Now the situation is improving. It's improving when the central paramilitary force and others to assist in resting the violence have already arrived in Manipur.
On NTA postponing NEET (UG)-2023 exam for candidates who were allotted exam Centres in Manipur, MoS Education & BJP MP from Manipur, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh says, "...I had requested them to postpone the exam, in the current situation. New date of exam will be fixed. 5751 candidates were scheduled to appear at the two centres in Manipur."
